Welcome to the Imperial Male Voice Choir Website

The Imperial Male Voice Choir is a friendly group of around 30 men who meet to rehearse, perform concerts for charity and occasionally enter singing festivals. The origins of the choir were in the Operatic Society at Imperial College where many of the original members met in the late 1970s resulting in the choir being founded for an inaugural concert in Kensington in 1980.  Since then the choir has expanded in both size, repertoire and average waistline and in most years we sing in several concerts usually in the south of England or on expeditions to Europe.

This new site has just been launched and is still undergoing development.  Apologies for any missing pages or incorrect links.

More About the Choir

We aim for a high standard of singing under the able direction of our Musical Director, Deborah Miles-Johnson and we have a varied repertoire including early Renaissance music, folk songs, operatic excerpts and arrangements of Gershwin.  Our members are spread over a large proportion of SE England so rehearsals are organised in a variety of locations convenient for the M25 and are generally held on Sunday afternoons.

We perform several times a year and are normally hosted by an organisation to raise money for themselves or for the charity of their choice.

If you would like us to perform at an event, please click on the Host Us button on the left.  If you are interested in joining us, please click on the Join Us button on the left.
